I photographed Amy and Martin together at a 21st birthday party 3 years ago and was really happy when they asked me to photograph their wedding.
Their big day was in beautiful Devon on a rare sunny day. St Werburgh's Church in Wembury near Plymouth where their ceremony was held is a lovely quaint Anglican church overlooking the sea, Wembury beach and the Mewstone. A beautiful location for two Plymouth lovlies :)
Martin, the Groom, is a Royal Engineer in the British Army, so was looking very smart along with his Guardsmen all in their military uniforms and the guard of honour was a great exit to the ceremony. I managed to take Amy and Martin down onto the beach for some quick pics after the ceremony, it being the Queens Jubilee weekend and a bank holiday, they had quite a few spectators! Sorry again to Martin for the wet foot when crossing the stream, I forgot their was a bridge! It made for some good shots though!
The couple made their way to greet guests waiting at the reception just up the road from the beach at the grand Langdon Court Hotel. English rose Amy had thought of everything and the venue looked beautiful. After speeches, yummy food and children playing in the garden, Martin's sword provided great entertainment at the cutting of the cake!
This truly was a beautiful day filled with lots of fun, great music and lots of dancing! I even got a bit burn't, so thanks to the sun for shining all day!
Also, a massive thank you to my boyfriend/ assistant/ second Photographer Dan for all his help. Oh and to Emily for her helping hand on the beach and the Best Man Ben for doing a great job at rounding everyone up for the groups shots, big help.
Wishing them both all the happiness in their new life together in Germany. xx
