Milly and Stuart got married at The Manor House, a 14th century luxury hotel in the prettiest Cotswold village of Castle Combe in Wiltshire. It was a crisp late November day and as I arrived through the long winding driveway, staff were busy installing Christmas decorations to the impressive historic estate.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the Bybrook room in the heart of The Manor House. The room was warm and cosy with candles lighting the isle and a twinkling Christmas tree as the ceremonies backdrop.
Making the most of the November sunshine, guests gathered outside for confetti and canapés. Milly and Stuart then took a stroll around the picturesque village of Castle Combe. Along the way a little girl sweetly approached Milly to gift her with a flower as we walked through the small town. Past charming stone cottages and quaint streets we stopped at the iconic bridge crossing the River Bybrook before taking in views of the historic house from the surrounding Italian gardens.

Why The Manor House is a great place to get married
The Manor House is an idyllic English countryside venue, enchanting inside and out, the perfect venue for couples looking for a blend of historic charm and modern luxury with amazing food and the picturesque village of Castle Combe (voted the prettiest village in the UK) adding to the allure. Personally it was a dream to photograph with so many beautiful spots for photos and wonderful helpful staff.

The Reception
Inside the Bybrook room (now transformed for the reception dining) guests were treated to the venues Michelin star food. The speeches saw Groom Stuart presenting his Bride Milly with a framed email he’d sent to a work friend knowing she was the woman for him.
Into the evening guests were able to explore the house, taking in it’s charm and quintessentially British Countryside design, with grand fireplaces, elegant furnishings and antique decor.

Into the night
The evening party kicked off in the Dunstanville Suite with a live band and a packed dance floor.
Finishing the night, the lads gathered together for cigars on the balcony which turned into a hilarious karaoke serenade, my personal favourite was E17, Stay Another Day, the perfect song to end a Christmas wedding, such a highlight.

"We knew that we wanted Laura to be our wedding photographer after seeing the photos she did for a friends’ wedding. We are so happy with the result - The photos are so natural and beautifully capture the best moments from our day. Laura was brilliant to work with - professional, communicative, friendly and she worked hard to share the photos with us quickly after the day. Thank you Laura!"
