If you're planning an intimate wedding at Bristol Registry Office, take inspiration from Lindsey & Paul's vibrant wedding, full of colour and playfulness ...
Lindsey and Paul celebrated their day at the Bristol Registry Office, located in the historic Old Council House on Corn Street. It was a day full of fun, shared with close family and their three children – Dylan, Wren, and Blue – followed by a relaxed lunch next door at the Bristol Harbour Hotel.
After the I-do's, the family (including their super cute pup Wilbur!) enjoyed some confetti chaos on the steps of the registry office.
Don't let the words registry office fool you ... the inside and outside of this building are really striking.
Ice Cream time!
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and I took a quick cab to the harbour by the M Shed. We took a leisurely stroll, pausing for a sneaky ice cream (deliberately kept secret from the kids🍦)
Cool doesn't cover it - Lindsey looked fabulous in her embroidered Doc Martens, and the couple received hoots of well-wishes from passersby as they made their way up Corn Street.
Our walk brought us full circle, passing by the registry office and arriving next door at the Harbour Hotel, where Lindsey and Paul were reunited with their family in the opulent Blue Room for drinks and lunch.
The Details
Lindsey wore a gorgeous, backless dress with lace detail, while Paul looked equally stylish in his blue suit. The newlyweds’ outfits were not only cool and chic, but also budget-friendly … both were from ASOS, proving that you don't need to break the bank to look fabulous.
(I'm still hoping to get a pair of Lindsey's decked out Docs for myself one day — I'm obsessed!)
I really loved how the couple made their kids part of the day with personalised table decorations: mini canvases painted with family portraits created by the kids.
The cake was topped with classic wooden peg figurines painted to represent the whole family, including Wilbur. It also had an allotted section for the kids to nibble from at the back — genius! 🎂
The table also had goodie bags for the kids with stickers and fun activities like Play-Doh to keep them busy, happy and entertained throughout the celebration.
