Amy & George got married in May 2023 at Mud Dock Café: a light and airy warehouse-style building in the middle of the city with views over Bristol’s floating harbour, Prince Street Bridge and the iconic cranes along the Harbourside.

"Laura photographed our wedding in May 2023 and the photos are beautiful!
Neither of us are super comfortable being photographed but everything was very relaxed and natural, we just enjoyed our day and Laura documented it perfectly.
Laura was lovely and meeting in-person a few weeks before the wedding was really useful and helped put our minds at ease with timings etc.
Thank you so much Laura!
We’ll treasure our photos forever!”

The ceremony was held in Bristol Registry office's chapel-like event space, the stunning Lantern Room was flooded with natural light
Travel: ceremony to reception
It doesn’t always have to be a financial and logistical burden … Amy & George walked 👞
It was only a short stroll from the registry office to the reception at Mud Dock, but going through the centre of Bristol was lovely, with members of the public congratulating them as we walked the old cobbled street along the harbour.
Some cheeky school children had filled the fountain on the Cascade Steps with bubble bath & were having water fights. I juggled walking & snapping away while trying to protect Amy from getting splashed.
Amy even had time to read George’s speech as we skirted around Queen’s Square - multitasking at its finest.
Mud Dock Café is quintessentially Bristol - trendy doesn’t even cover it. The building features high ceilings, a terrace, and an abundance of personality. The round window is a striking feature as well. It’s one of the coolest places to get married in Bristol. I adore the light, and the views of the harbour are epic.
Amy & George had drinks and canapés on the sunny terrace in the afternoon
Mud Dock Café is perfect for couples who love being by the water and seek a relaxed wedding with unique aesthetics. If a registry office isn't your style, you can even hold your ceremony against the backdrop of the stunning circular window. The venue offers amazing food and countless gorgeous spots perfect for photos.

The sun beamed into the restaurant, lighting up smiling, giggling faces during the speeches. Guests enjoyed sharing plates, and feet hit the dance floor as the light from the distinctive round window at the far end of the building faded.
All in all ...
This wedding was so special to photograph, everyone involved was a delight to work with, and I loved the beautiful simplicity of the day, complete with tea cake favours!
Amy waving me goodbye from the venue's epic round window in the evening.
🎉 Happy anniversary Amy & George 🎉
Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day 🤍
