Beth and Sarah's Vibrant Bristol Wedding was a beautiful showcase of classic elegance and the vibrant energy of Bristol.
A colourful, joy-filled celebration, their day truly reflected their unique personalities and love for each other.
The couple began their day with an intimate ceremony in the Lantern Room at the historic Bristol Registry Office.
This bright and elegant space provided the perfect setting for their heartfelt vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Stepping onto the sunny steps of the registry office after the ceremony, the newlyweds were showered with a dazzling cascade of rainbow confetti.
The vibrant colours complemented their matching wildflower bouquets perfectly, setting a joyful tone for the rest of the day.
After the ceremony, Beth and Sarah invited their guests to follow us on their short photo walk through St Nick’s Market.
St Nicholas Market is an iconic Bristol location, known for its charming cobbled streets, eclectic stalls, and historic architecture.
Adding to the day’s unique charm, the Old City Sounds festival was in full swing, filling the streets with live music ranging from jazz and Irish folk, to DJs and alt-rock.
The couple and their guests were serenaded as they walked through the lively streets, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.
A Scenic Cruise from Welsh Back
The next stage of the celebration took place from Welsh Back, a historic wharf along Bristol’s floating harbour, just minutes from the registry office.
Here, the Bristol Tower Bell Boat awaited, ready to whisk the wedding party away on a scenic cruise.
Bubbly in hand, everyone enjoyed the picturesque journey along the harbour, soaking in the views before arriving at Beth and Sarah’s reception venue, the Mud Dock Café.
Perched on the edge of Bristol’s floating harbour, the Mud Dock Café is a stylish and unique venue that exudes charm. With its industrial-style interiors, quirky bicycle-themed décor, and sweeping waterfront views, it offered the ideal backdrop for the couple’s relaxed yet elegant reception.
The café’s warm ambience, enhanced by sunshine streaming through the windows, created a welcoming atmosphere.
The staff at Mud Dock went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly – from the beautifully arranged setup to their attentive service (even kindly wrapping me up some dessert!).
The sharing platters served were both delicious and perfect for contributing to a relaxed vibe among guests.
Vegan Bakes created a stunningly colourful cake and cupcakes – true works of edible art that were as delicious as they were beautiful. The fact that they were entirely vegan added another layer of thoughtfulness to these treats.
The Flower Shop Bristol provided vibrant bouquets and floral arrangements that added pops of rainbow hues throughout the day.
From the confetti-filled steps of the registry office to the elegantly decorated reception tables 🌈
This vibrant wedding was filled with unique, personal details that made the day truly their own.
Wedding favours were Lucky in Love scratch cards, giving guests the chance to win a free drink at the bar🍹
This creative and interactive detail brought a playful energy to the day.
I even got one!
Although a mischievous seagull decided to attack my dinner plate, and the card blew off the terrace – not so lucky!
Thankfully, I found it – but alas, I wasn’t a winner (this time).
Another heartwarming touch was the use of photo table numbers featuring Beth and Sarah’s beloved dogs.
Though their furry friends couldn’t attend in person, they were there in spirit, earning a well-deserved round of a-paws from guests for this adorable inclusion.
The newlyweds also kept things stylish yet comfortable, walking through town in matching white Converse during the day and later switching to matching white Crocs at the reception.
These weren’t just any Crocs – they were personalised with wedding-themed charms, combining practicality with charm.
Throughout the day, Beth and Sarah’s love and connection was unmistakable.
Whether sharing stolen kisses, holding hands out of sight, or leaning on each other affectionately, their bond was evident in every moment.
Their magnetic connection made capturing their joy an absolute delight.
Heartfelt speeches brought us all (me included) to tears, then the couple showed some serious moves on the dance floor as the sun dipped over the harbour.
Heartfelt Thanks
I was struck by happy tears repeatedly throughout the day.
From the romantic Lantern Room ceremony to the vibrant walk through St Nick’s Market, the picturesque harbour cruise to the Mud Dock Café, and all the thoughtful personal touches in between, the wedding was a true celebration of love, laughter, and the vibrant spirit of Bristol.
Beth and Sarah:
Thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your incredible wedding and for making my job a joy from start to finish.
Love,
Laura x
